AHAAHAHAH!!!!!! In two weeks my school is doing this turn off the TV week. It's where you make a comitment to not watch TV for a week. The kids at my school don't have to do it but, I bet you that a lot of them are going to do it.
I'm not sure if I'm going to make it. I mean a whole week with out TV that means no American Idol, Smallvill, and all of my favorite shows.

aaahhh! I would miss Superman and Spongebob. I would have to watch Extreme Make-over: Home Edition!
Miss you-
That would be quite a challenge for me, too! But get into a good book and it could be done. My favorite shows right now? Jericho & Lost. There's always re-runs, though!
You can do it! We did it for a whole month and really had a good time finding other things to do.
I would miss several of my shows, but just have your friends tape them for you.
In Africa, the TV gets turned off for us...power outs! Bummer.
Here are some of the things your Africa cousins do to bide the no-TV days...
1. pull every book off the shelves and peruse at their leisure.
2. take the dining room chairs into the living rm. cover them with every blanket out of the linen closet...play "Fort" for...oh... about 30 seconds, then leave the mess abandoned
3. tell Mom you are hungry over and over and over....
4. Ask, "WHEN will the TV be back on?!?!?" about 1000 times
5. Play every make believe game 4 kids can come up with....
6. ARTS AND CRAFTS!!!!!
Hope these ideas help! :-) :-)
We have almost quit watching TV. Most programs are not worth watching and so many of them are kill, kill, kill, and other things we don't like to watch. We have discovered reading now, because so much time has been freed up. We do watch football in season and a few basketball games. Once in a while there is news or weather which we tune into. We really don't miss it. Of course we don't have any kids living here.
I just learned that you are bloging. I do too! Let's see the last one was about a year ago - Oh well! Keep it up - we do enjoy commenting.
Dad, Granddad, Glenn, or whatever.
So how'd it go, Sierra? Love you girl!
